I got into the garage, closed the garage, and entered the basement through the back right door as he instructed. Then all of the sudden a stranger is in front of me and introduces himself. Then one of Jwick's previous roommates came around the corner and said "breaking and entering?" I don't know why they were there or what they were doing, but I freaked out and said the first lie that came to mind, "haha, yeah, so sorry, just, um, picking up something for Jonathan."
I considered for about 2 seconds to go on upstairs and start dancing. HAHA. But I'm not sure how I would've made that work with my previous lie. Instead I ran to the second floor like a scared child, grabbed The Screwtape Letters from Jonathan's bookshelf, and then exited the house as quickly as possible.
So the way I see it Jonathan has 2 options:
1. Tell his roommate that he desperately needed The Screwtape Letters while he was at work, and the only possible solution he could come up with was having me get it for him.
2. Tell his roommate I really came over to dance, but freaked out when I saw him and some guy, got embarassed, and lied like an idiot :)
