I didn't know what else to do in the Bible study I was leading this past Sunday (common occurrence for me, not knowing what to do), so I asked the 8th grade girls to meditate for 3 minutes on the names given to Christ in Isaiah 9:6.
"...He will be named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."
I meditated along with them, but I never got past Wonderful Counselor.
Maybe this appeals to me because I'm terrible with making decisions, and I constantly seek out people for advice or affirmation for my decisions. My new years resolution a few years back was to be decisive--as if one could suddenly decide to be decisive :)
Close your eyes and imagine your life including a wonderful counselor.
When you've done that, revel in the fact that with Christ this is reality.
Yes, God is our Wonderful Counselor! AND He gives us sisters for good counsel as well...like you should live in Alaska this summer! :)
